Halloween Is Coming...Make Sure You're Ready!

Who doesn't love Halloween? OK, some people. But I do, a lot. I would wear this stuff every, single, day. And I do to be honest, so I've rounded up a few of my faves to show you. I do sometimes find it hard to find great novelty seasonal wear in my size but the fashion industry is nailing it at the moment. What else have you seen that you love? Comment and let me know or tag me on Instagram (@victoryrollsandmixingbowls). All of the links are in the titles.

If you want to salute Halloween without drawing too much attention to yourself (although, hello? You want people to be looking at this dress!) then this dress might be a good option. It's fairly plain but you'll look killer in it, black is always a winner in my book and I often wish I could tell those around me to 'bite me', so it's win-win right?

Another beaut from Boohoo,  they do subtle Halloween really well at the moment, although to be fair I would use these both all year round. This one is probably more office friendly and you could wear it out for the evening as well. Again it's not too full on, some of you may prefer something a bit more out there but I love how this one is a bit more casual, it has a bit ole scooped neck which means you could probably team it with a nice little choker for some 90s vibes, I like it how they've styled it with some wet look/leather trousers I would probably do the same if I were you!

Tights that fit my thighs, hurrah! I know, I know, it can be a pain to find cute novelty tights to go over majestic thighs such as mine, but these go up to size 24-26 so I'm fairly sure even I could even I could wiggle into these fairly happily. I love them all but I think the bats are my favourite, and for only £8.00 a pair it would be rude to not try them all...especially now as I signed up to free next day delivery...whoops...

Oh. My. God. Look at this little beauty, this appeals to all my witchy traits. While it may not be covered in baths, spiders or skulls, I think I'm in love and would totally rock this for Halloween. I have a bolero in a similar fabric and I'd love some more green velvet pieces. It's looks so luxurious and is a pretty good deal at £34.00. It's also not just limited to Halloween...with the other festive season just around the corner this could be your go-to dress for many a occasion.

Now earlier I talked about chokers, I really love this one in the new RI Plus range. It's pretty simple in case you don't want to feel restricted and it's only £8.00. I really like the diamante circle in the middle for a little bit of sparkle. This is a great starter choker before you try out maybe a full one or maybe even a spike one. Ah, I do miss the 90s.

Now this print is one of my favourites out there at the moment, I have it in the skirt version and I love the dress! Just look at the print, it fulfills all of your Halloween dreams with pumpkins, bats, spiderwebs and ghosts. I got lots of compliments on the skirt and I intend to wear it all year round, no shame, no shame at all. They also do it in a top too...

Right, this is another one of my own purchases, it's been about at least a year but I bloody love it. It makes me feel a million quid when I step out in this dress. It's lovely and heavy too and...it has pockets!!! It is a bit pricier than the others but the proof is in the quality. The scalloped neck is to die for and let's not even get started on the colour and the cat print. I recommend you get this as soon as you can. Now.

8. Interrobangart Pumpkin Circle Skirt £50.00

If you really want to rebel against the subtle then this baby is for you, being a bit sucker for skirts I couldn't resist adding this one. I've bought from this lovely before and her skirts are great so go and have a look. I love this one, just look at the huge pumpkin face, it's great! She's designed the fabric herself and you can contact her about altering sizes as they're made to order.

Review of Voodoo Vixen Katniss, finally it's mine!

For longer than I care to admit, I have been perving and drooling over the Voodoo Vixen Katniss dress (£66.99). I have no idea why it took me so long to cave and purchase it. I was a bit worried about the neck line, I'm not broad enough for my size really so I was worried it would gape. But the cute cat print and stunning colour had me at 'hello'....or 'meow'. When the Boxing Day sales hit I couldn't resist the discount so I put a size 2XL in my basket and ordered that baby to come home to me!

For some reason it took me a while to try it on, I was worried it wouldn't fit and I'd be gutted so I kept putting it off, just looking at it lovingly in it's packaging. But finally I gave in unwrapped it, I did have to get my boyfriend to help me with the zip, my little T-Rex arms wouldn't reach.

And how stupid did I feel for putting off trying it on?! It fit so beautifully! The only part that didn't was the shoulders. I'm 5"2 and the size I ordered is a bit too tall for my height, the trouble of being large-chested! But having my seamstress of a mother at home this was resolved in no time, just had to pin them down a bit - no big issue at all. I should be able to do it myself but I'm rubbish at pinning clothes on myself.

Apart from slight adjustment needed on the shoulder it fit so well everywhere else. I don't like to look too busty, which can be difficult. But I like a slightly higher neck so the cleavage isn't too out of control. This was perfect. Still feel totally feminine but also nice and held in.

The waist was lovely and nipped in also. I usually feel like I have to wear a belt with these dresses and sometimes the waist isn't nipped in enough for me but I could easily go belt-less in this. And let's not get started on the colour! Look at it! This is why I fell in love with this dress, it' so vibrant and rich it really does match all the pictures you see online.

I only have a couple of Voodoo Vixen dresses but I definitely need more, my next one? This dress in blue! They're releasing it soon in a gorgeous blue in a pencil and full skirted dress. Check out these pictures! One is a screenshot from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust's Facebook page as I couldn't find a picture of this version anywhere. So excited for this release, please be soon!

Voodoo Vixen Gretta Dress

I've spent so much money this month of clothes...and I don't care one bit! Well, not too much  - you can't, not when you get beauties like this turn up in the post.

I saw this dress on Instagram modeled by the lovely SarahHplus below (follow her on Instagram!), and I knew I had to have it. It's the Gretta dress from Voodoo Vixen (£52.99) and I love these British rockabilly shops that are affordable that I'm discovering recently. I ordered a 4XL in the end which works out to be a 20, I normally get away with an 18 and occasionally a 16 depending on the stretch but it all depends on the bust so I decided to play safe and it fit like an absolute dream.

Stunner! Need to re-create this pose!

The dress itself is black with white piping and outlining with cut outs on the bust, white fabric covered buttons going down the length of the middle of the dress and it comes with a white belt for contrast. The only teeny downside is that I am lucky enough to have a slightly smaller waist under the bad boys, so the plus size belt was a tad too long for me. But hey, I'm creative I'll just add some extra holes. I was wearing it out the night that I bought it so I didn't have time for that on the day. I teamed it with a leopard belt from Primark costing £3.00 and a huge pair of vintage leopard earrings I bought from the vintage fair in Cambridge earlier that day costing £15.00. Of course the hair went up into big victory rolls, I wore Lime Crime Wicked Velvetine lip colour which I can't live without and I added a petticoat for good measure, you can't beat a bit of swing.

I love the detail on the bust, although I do love the boobs I don't always want them on full display so I do like a higher neckline at times but that can also look a bit heavy so the cut outs help break it up a bit and frankly, looks damn cute.

I wish I had better pictures but we just danced and drank too much wine!

I just love flared A-Line dresses, I do have one wiggle dress in collection but I'm not brave enough to wear it yet. The next dress on my wishlist is their brand new Katnis dress below (£49.99) that I saw pop up only yesterday...need. What's your favourite Voodoo Vixen dress?
